Life's a Drag

Life’s a Drag explores the life of Singapore’s famous Drag Queen, Vanda Miss Joaquim, and finalist of Rupaul's Drag Queen Season 5. Also known as Izzy, he grew up in a Malay-Muslim household, but being true to himself has cost Izzy the support of his family. This short documentary explores how amidst the glitter and flashing lights, comes a load of sacrifices, sacrifices Izzy is willing to make to leave his mark as Vanda Miss Joaquim. This film is done as part of a Year 2 documentary module.
