Though you don't find the site, you will find Quina, somehow s/he survived Cleyra's destruction. However, that is neither here nor there, after talking to Quale, Quina manages to smell frogs off in the distance. As your party chases after Quina, who's chasing after the frogs, you stumble upon the excavation site, Fossil Roo. Yet, the welcoming atmosphere turns quite dangerous very quickly, and although your party may end up escaping one threat, another rears its head immediately after.
