New tones, new drums, new sound, new songs, new thumbnail, new end card, new setup, hopefully more energy and hopefully the rest of the videos from here on out aren't an ungodly mess, because I'm still figuring out my sound. I spent several hours refining my sound, particularly over the week of the fourteenth of June. I watched a ton of FamilyJules and CSGuitar89, identifying what works and what doesn't, watching some of their tutorial videos, working backwards and trying to create the tightest mix I could. I even did something similar with the drums. This is actually the first kit I'm actually using for a video that I made from scratch, although it was based somewhat on my drums for January through May. Either way, it's such a tight sound, and I love it. This track I've had in my projects folder for years at this point. I had never gotten around to recording the piece, largely because of my skill level at the time when I wrote the drum track. I didn't trust myself to be able to properly play the bass line at first, I was willing to wait until my skill level increased before I recorded the song in full, and my god, did I have fun with it. I've got a lot planned for the next six months. My goal is to finish up a ton of the old projects I have that I haven't finished, or had the time to practice with them. A few more medleys too. I am excited to see how things go, and am excited to make more music.
