Should You Visit King’s Island? Coaster POVs, Haunt Night & WAY Too Much Food 🎃🎢

Welcome back to Keeping Up in Disney! Except… plot twist: Today we’re not in Disney. We’re not even in Florida. We are in Ohio — and it’s time to conquer Kings Island for Arie's second-ever visit! 🎢👻 I drove all the way from Chicago AGAIN (you’d think I’d learn…) with the same friend from my Cedar Point video:    • First Time at Cedar Point! 🎢 Conquering To...   and we somehow managed to arrive before park opening even though we left at an hour of the morning I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. But it’s fine. Because coasters. Right away, chaos: Our Six Flags all-parks passes did not want to let us in. But after some back-and-forth, we not only got it sorted — we were gifted a free one time fast lane pass AND a free ice cream cone coupon. Once inside, we got to rediscover that iconic International Street, the Eiffel Tower replica, and all the early Haunt event decorations reminding us that by 6pm the park would switch from “happy coaster vibes” to “welcome to your spooky Ohio destiny.” We started strong with Flight of Fear and Orion — and all POV clips are from Kings Island’s official YouTube channel. Then we activated the legendary every-90-minutes dining plan. Our food journey included: 🍖 BBQ to kick things off 🧀 Tom & Chee grilled cheeses that were dangerously good 🍦 BLUE ICE CREAM, the sacred Kings Island artifact 🌭 FOOT-LONG HOT DOGS topped with beer cheese & tots 🍕 Pizza (because of course) 🐼 Panda Express inside Festhaus while watching “Ghouls Gone Wild” 🍗 Chicken tenders for one last meal because… why not Between bites, we hit classics like The Racer, Adventure Express, Banshee, Diamondback, and Mystic Timbers — and yes, we absolutely used our one single Fast Lane on The Beast. The Beast was WILD, especially that double helix that feels like a monster trying to shake you out of your body. Then… Haunt time. 🎃✨ The entire park transformed, monsters started roaming, fog machines went feral, and we jumped into houses like: 🛒 Kill Mart (Target but make it terrifying) 🏨 The Hotel (5 stars for theming, 0 stars for “I screamed.”) 🔪 Slaughterhouse (I’ll let the name speak for itself.) 👽 Alien Abyss (because Orion wasn’t enough extraterrestrial energy for one day) We also squeezed in NIGHT RIDES — which automatically make coasters 87% better — on Diamondback, Mystic Timbers, The Beast, and Orion. If you haven’t experienced wooden coaster chaos in the pitch black… you haven’t lived. By the end of the night, we shopped a little (I got a Mystic Timbers spirit jersey, a Kings Island magnet, and a Diamondback pin), watched the fountains dance, and reflected on the day — including my final, definitive Kings Island coaster rankings and how KI compares to Cedar Point, Six Flags Great America (my home park), and even Disney. It was an incredible day — except for the part where we drove there and back in a single day again. I do not recommend this unless you have the energy of a slightly overcaffeinated golden retriever.
