Ingredients 1 apple (I used honey crisp, use what you prefer!) 2 cups of all purpose flour 1/3 cup of sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 tsp cinnamon Dash of Nutmeg Dash of Allspice 1/4 cup of cold unsalted butter 1 tsp almond extract 1 tsp vanilla Extract 1/4 cup heavy cream * plus a little extra to brush on the scones 1/2 cup milk Glaze ingredients 1/4 cup confectioners sugar Splash of apple cider Preheat oven to 425 Chop half of an apple and grate the other half. In a large bowl add your flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Next add the cold chopped butter. You can mix this with a pastry cutter, a fork or your hands. Mix until it resembles coarse crumbs. Add the almond extract, vanilla extract, milk and cream. Mix until combined. Add the chopped and grated apple and mix until just combined. Transfer the dough to a clean floured surface. Knead slightly until the dough comes together. Press the dough into an 8in circle until the dough is roughly 3/4 of an inch thick. Cut the dough into triangles you can make 8-12 scones depending on what size you prefer. Transfer the triangles of dough to the freezer for 30 min. After freezing brush the scones with some heavy cream and bake for 10-12 min. Drizzle the glaze on top and enjoy! To make the glaze simply add a splash of apple cider to about a 1/4 cup of confectioners sugar and mix until smooth. Music: Rosemarys Garden- Peter Crosby
