For the first time in HD, players are offered 16 new and 16 old tracks. Some of the retro tracks have been significantly reworked, not least thanks to the new gravity feature. In certain places, it's now possible to drive on walls and ceilings. What may seem strange at first is actually a brilliant idea. There are also new items, of course. These include the coin, piranha plant, boomerang, and horn, which can even be used to fend off the Stachi tank! 60 frames per second in 1- and 2-player modes is a dream, and the title also shines online with good servers and a tournament mode.
