ACHARAUGO FOUNDATION hosts Second Edition of Christmass Carols and Nine Lessons

In honor of Late Christopher M.C Duru , Oba Nkpologwu, who lived an examplary life of giving, uplifting people and uncommon love for the development of his community and people, Nze Chidi Duru; his son had on December 24th, 2021 held the second edition of the Christmas Carol and Nine Lessons. The Carol which was held at Nze Chidi Duru Compound was sponsored by Acharaugo Foundation, - a non Profit Organization which, following the footprints of Late M.C Duru - Oba Nkpologwu, has over the years been engaged in acts of philanthropy, granting scholarships to indigent but, bright students from the community, assisting widows and empowering young men and women in their different trades. The Foundation has to her credit, besides many indigent women and widows being assisted out of poverty, over 50 University graduands and many students currently under her scholarship in various secondary and higher institutions across the Country. The electrifying and soul -lifting Carols and Nine lesson featured best of the choral concert by the Gentle Voice choir from Awka, Scriptural readings, and soul touching sermon by the officiating Priest, Rev Christian oroke that heralded the distribution of over 100 bags of Rice and Cash gifts to select indigent women and widows from all the villages in Nkpologwu Community. According to the Founder, Nze Chidi Duru, the Carols of Nine Lessons which started last 2020, has transformed to an annual rituals that is expected to, over the years incorporate more massive philanthropic works and far reaching projects to be carried out by the Acharaugo Foundation.
