Ramzi Theory is an early gender prediction method that suggests the location of the placenta in early pregnancy (around 6 to 9 weeks) can indicate the baby’s sex. According to this theory: If the placenta is on the right side of the uterus, it’s more likely to be a boy. If the placenta is on the left side of the uterus, it’s more likely to be a girl. This theory uses early ultrasound images, but there’s an important detail: you need to know whether the ultrasound is transabdominal (over the belly) or transvaginal because the image orientation is different. Transvaginal ultrasound shows a true reflection, so the right side of the image is the right side of the uterus. Transabdominal ultrasound is flipped, so the right side of the image is actually the left side of the uterus. Desclimer: It’s important to note that while Ramzi Theory has gained a lot of popularity online, it’s not widely accepted in the medical community as a proven method for gender prediction. Studies haven’t consistently supported it, and most doctors consider it more of a fun guess than a science-backed technique. Are you thinking of using Ramzi Theory with one of your ultrasound images?
