OffRide Formule X Roller Coaster at Familiepark Drievliet. Formule X is a Maurer Söhne X-Car coaster built for The Hague's Drievliet amusement park. It first opened its doors on April 6, 2007. Formula X was the first X-car coaster to feature an LSM launch. The coaster has a height of 50 feet (15 meters) and a length of 1,150 feet (350 meters). Two never-before-seen inversions and a 135° over-banked turn are included. There are two trains, each with a capacity of six people. In approximately two seconds, the LSM rocket accelerates from 15 to 70 km/h (6 to 45 mph). In compared to other rides, the ride is compact: it is built on a 50 by 50 meter platform (160 by 160 feet). Formula X has a capacity of 650 people per hour. The journey begins with a right turn as you leave the station. An Immelman loop is formed when a launch accelerates from 6 mph (9.7 km/h) to 45 mph (72 km/h) in 2 seconds. The train enters a horseshoe turn after this first inversion, followed by an airtime hill. The train then does a second inversion, which consists of a half-corkscrew and half-heartline roll. After that, the train makes a 135° overbanked turn before entering the brake run.
