⛈️A surface high ridging into the east and a surface trough over the interior, supported by an upper-air trough, will drive scattered to widespread showers and thundershowers over parts of the Free State, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, and surrounding areas. 🌬️The west will be mostly dry but quite cool, with an icy southerly wind in places. ⚠️IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS issued by SAWS ⚠️ 🟡Yellow Level 4: Disruptive rainfall resulting in flooding of roads and settlements and damage to infrastructure is expected over the eastern and northern regions of KwaZulu-Natal. 🟡Yellow Level 2: Severe thunderstorms accompanied by heavy downpours, damaging winds, excessive lightning and large amounts of small hail are expected over the eastern parts of Free State, extreme south-eastern regions of Gauteng, Mpumalanga and south-western regions of KZN. #VoxWeather #heritageday #braaiday #hail #stormy #thunderstorms
