So, you've probably noticed Google Docs doesn't have a built-in dark mode, which is a bummer for those of us who prefer writing with light text on a dark background. But don't worry, I've got a couple of tricks up my sleeve to help you get that dark mode vibe. First up, you can manually change the background of your document. Just head over to "File," then "Page Setup." In the options that pop up, look for "Page Color." Here, you can switch the page to black or any dark shade you like. After that, change your text color to white, and voilà, you've got yourself a makeshift dark mode. It's a simple fix but does the job. However, if you're looking for something that feels more integrated, there's another way. There's this Chrome extension specifically for dark mode in Google Docs. Just search for "dark mode Google Docs" on Google, and it should lead you to the Chrome Web Store. Installing this extension is a breeze. Click "Add to Chrome," then "Add Extension," and in no time, it'll be part of your browser. If it doesn't automatically pin to your toolbar, you can easily do so by clicking the puzzle piece icon in Chrome and pinning the dark mode extension. Once it's all set up, your Google Docs will seamlessly switch to dark mode, making everything easier on the eyes, not just the document area but the whole interface. This extension is probably what you're looking for if you want a more authentic dark mode experience in Google Docs. I'll drop the link to the extension in the video description below, so you can easily find it and give your eyes the comfort they deserve while typing away in Google Docs. Hope this helps you out!
