Bharva Karele – Punjabi Style | Mom’s Recipe 🥒💚 Presenting stuffed karela recipe – bitter gourd filled with a masala that turns every bite into pure comfort food. Ingredients: 4-5 medium karele (bitter gourds) 1 medium onion 2 tablespoon besan (Gram flour) 4 tablespoons mustard oil ½ tablespoon turmeric powder 1/2 tablespoon red chilli powder 2 tablespoon coriander powder 1 tableapoon fennel (saunf) ½ tablespoon amchur (dry mango powder) Salt to taste Method: 1. Wash karele, scrape lightly & slit lengthwise. Remove seeds carefully. 2. Apply salt on karele & keep aside for 30 mins (reduces bitterness). Wash & pat dry. 3. Dry roast besan for a few mins and take it out. 4. mix dry spices in besan like salt , lal mirch, dhaniya powder, saunf, amchur. 5. Stuff this masala into karele carefully. 6. Heat a mustard oil in a pan, place stuffed karele, cover & cook on low flame till soft & golden (turn occasionally).
