Two Is Better Than One - Preview

Time is something difficult. It's easy to remember that there are 24 hours in a day, 60 minutes in an hour and 60 seconds in a minute, but time is the enemy and the friend. When it's your friend, time goes by quick without dreading any of the seconds that are in a minute, that are in an hour that are in a day. But when it's your enemy, a minute seems to last an eternity. You want it to go by quickly, but when you want something, you'll never get it. She wasn't even halfway the time that she had to wait before time would probably be a friend again, because right now it was her worst enemy. Earlier in the year he got her out of the trouble that she was caused by herself, but now she was back in the beginning and had to start all over again to get back to where she was. She couldn't do that alone, she definitely couldn't, because she never did something on her own. She always needed help, couldn't handle things on her own. She was pathetic, naïve and weak. She was weak. Nothing but weak because she couldn't even stay grounded, she had to fall back to the beginning. All that was what she thought about herself, that while others all thought differently about her. She wanted to get to the surface, to breathe in some freedom, but she was just stuck in her room screaming her lungs out. She screamed, just screamed, music on full volume so nobody would hear it, but even the music couldn't cover it. The screaming was just so loud that it overpowered the song Jet Lagged by Simple Plan and Natasha Bedingfield. It was her favorite song, especially now it fitted her so perfectly. Things changed into this after her dad passed away, the day right before Christmas. If she hadn't make him laugh when he was driving, the accident maybe wouldn't have happened at all. So she sat days and days just blaming herself for her father's death, and no one ever changed her mind because she was stubborn. Weak, pathetic, naïve and stubborn. Yet there changed more things than just her screaming, and doing whatever she does, because no one knew just yet. She was secretive and also pretty untrusting. There was only one person who had her full trust. And that boy had left. But besides that, her mother changed, too. Everything about the lovely woman had changed. She didn't laugh anymore, didn't smile, didn't take care of her only child like she used to. Instead, she drunk, used drugs and pushed thorns underneath the nails of her daughter, pushed her down the stairs or cut her with a hot knife. Yet, no one knew this all happened. She was good at covering things. She didn't any other friends than him and his three best hockey-playing friends. But they were gone. It all lasted too long, they were gone for 1 week out of the 3, and yet it still tortured her. Because that meant her mother had free game, and could do whatever she wanted. Now, at the day of September 14th, she stood in front of his house, silently wishing him a happy birthday. Not only was she weak, pathetic, naïve and stubborn, but she was also broken. -- So, this is a preview of a new series of mine called Two Is Better Than One. It'll really start when my summer begins, at July 16th. So that's when I can start fully working on it... I was supposed to wait for posting this... But I just couldn't. Haha.. So, I hope you enjoyed this little preview... I'm going to write this along with Ups & Downs and the collab with Meg.. Also, I will not pick a cast for this one, because I already have one.. :) Peace out!
