BAMBOO DANCE /CHERAW DANCE

See the perfect beauty of bamboo dance. This was held at the Orchid Garden in Kaziranga, Assam. It is a traditional dance form that is most famous in Mizoram. The dance involves performers, typically 6 to 8, holding bamboo staves on another horizontally placed bamboo on the ground, that are clapped rhythmically, while others step in and out between them, often performed during festivals and celebrations. Bamboo dance is a specialty of the Northeast.
