Back To The Ishimura | Dead Space Remake (Part 1) | Plasma Cutter Only

Livestream starts at 3:05 About 14 years ago Dead Space released, giving horror fans an atmospheric sci-fi gorefest centuries in the future, with the story involving an unlucky yet very adaptive engineer named Isaac Clarke and his continuous struggles to survive against zombie like creatures called Necromorphs. The series was most notable for taking everything zombie movies and video games taught us about aiming for the head and instead putting players against fast and agile monsters that required their limbs to be severed to kill them, forcing quick thinking and staying alert constantly. Multiple games followed as well as two animated movies and several comic books with Dead Space in ways helping revitalize survival horror while also becoming popular enough to stand with Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, and other popular horror games franchises. However the poor reception of Dead Space 3 and cancellation of a planned sequel lead to the series ending until a remake of the first game was announced in 2021 that would stay faithful to the original while adding more content including side quest. With 2023 looking to possibly be a great year for horror games with remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Silent Hill 2 also on the way, Dead Space Remake is the first of several spooky titles releasing this year. The question is, how well does it stack up to the original? It's time to find out as we step back onto the USG Ishimura and experience one of my favorite horror games all over again.
