Extraordinary cricketing shots were on display from the veteran Indian batter especially the whip shot using the bottom hand and dispatching the ball over the ropes. After being invited to bat first RCB lost their skipper Faf du Plessis for a mere 8 runs. However Virat Kohli and Cameron Green played with authority in the powerplay scoring 61 runs. The dynamic duo added 65 runs for the second wicket with Green falling prey to Narine after scoring 33 runs. KKR were a bit rusty in the field tonight dropping Maxwell twice on occasion. However Maxwell failed to make proper utilization of the chances given to him and departed for 28 runs off 19 balls. Following the wicket of Maxwell RCB lost Rajat Patidar and Anuj Rawat cheaply. However Kohli continued his merry ways and notched up his fifty on the occasion. Dinesh Karthik once again played a valuable knock at the cue end of the innings scoring an unbeaten and rapid 8-ball 20 runs helping his side cross the 180-run mark. Kohli carried his bat and scored 83 runs off 59 balls which included four fours and sixes each. Harshit Rana and Andre Russell bagged a couple of wickets each for KKR. While Sunil Narine celebrated a solitary wicket. Kolkata Knight Riders need 183 runs to win this contest. So who will win? Trivia Alert: No away team has won a game so far in this edition of the IPL. Faf went early but Green Maxwell and DK at the end contributed well to help Kohli who was the main man during that innings. KKR's fielding was a let-down as they dropped Maxwell twice and Starc once again proved to be expensive which should be a worry.
