Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is easily one of the most graphically captivating and advanced Flight Simulators of 2022. Our total flight time is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes and covers a total 382mi/615km/332NM. Airport Facts: KSDL KSDL, formerly known as Thunderbird Field II upon opening in 1942, used to be a training facility for World War II Army Air Corps pilots, however in 1944 Thunderbird Field II was deactivated. It wasn't until 1966 that the City of Scottsdale acquired the airfield from the Arizona Conference of Seventh Day Adventists, the first fixed base operator was selected in April of 1967. Scottsdale Private Airport has about 463 parked aircraft from single-engine recreational planes to numerous corporate jets as well as a variety of private-pilot training facilities and corporate jet charters. It is truly one of the most incredible private airports in the west and features stunning views during sunrises and sunsets. Airport Facts: KTEX KTEX, known most commonly as Telluride Regional Airport, is situated atop a mountain top 6,069ft/1,849.83m feet above sea level. Surrounded by mountains that reach heights of up to 14,000ft/4,267.2m. The unique positioning of this airport leaves it prone to high crosswinds, strong downdrafts, updrafts and turbulence as well as sudden weather changes. Despite the challenging approach and departure paths, KTEX offers close proximity to one of the most popular ski destinations in the world, Telluride Regional Airport.
