Red Dead redemption 2: Chapter 3, Walkthrough, The New South

Start this mission by talking to Dutch at the new camp in Clemens Point. He starts talking about lofty goals, and asks you to follow him to the creek to go fishing with him and Hosea. Dutch mentions this is the “old guard” and the three start getting nostalgic about old times as they ride to the creek. He also tells you he doesn’t want anyone causing trouble or using Weapons in Rhodes. Eventually, you’ll reach a train blocking your path, and a sheriff and deputy driving a jail cart. Dutch will introduce himself as someone else - a distraction for the men in the back. Your friend is in the cart back there, and he’s trying to negotiate his release. However, the other men in the back break free and run away. You go after him with the deputy on horseback, and he tells you not to shoot them. Go up beside the train when he tells you to, and when you jump on the train, be prepared to spam circle/b to fend off an attacker during a short cinematic. After you push him off the train, chase after the rest of the Anderson boys. Use square/x to jump over the hay bales and gaps. As you chase after him, the deputy will stop the train. Once you’re in a meat cart, you’ll have to fight the man. GOLD MEDAL REQUIREMENTS This is Anders Anderson - you can’t take a hit while fighting him to get a Gold Medal. Reference the image below for a melee fight controls reminder. A cutscene will start after you pick him up. On your way back, the deputy will tell you about Caliga Hall, owned by the Grays, and a notification will pop up on the top left telling you this area is also off-limits as far as weapons and trouble. Once you reach the town, stop at the Sheriff’s office, hitch your horse, and carry Anderson in. A cutscene will proc, and your friend will be set free. After some eavesdropping and catching up, Dutch will suggest fishing anyway.
