Prime Minister Narendra Modi attends Beating Retreat Ceremony at Vijay Chowk
India celebrated its 75th Republic Day on January 26, 2024 with the Republic Day Parade at the Kartavya Path, New Delhi. The Chief Guest of the parade was the President of France, Emmanuel Macron; the parade was also attended by President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, CJI DY Chandrachud and other dignitaries of the country. The celebrations of the Republic Day will formally end with the Beating Retreat at the Vijay Chowk, New Delhi. The Beating Retreat is the formal end of the Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi for the year. With the sun setting down over the majestic Raisina Hills, the historic Vijay Chowk will witness all Indian tunes being played during the ‘Beating Retreating’ ceremony on Monday marking the culmination of 75th Republic Day celebrations. The music bands of Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will play 31 captivating and foot-tapping Indian tunes before a distinguished audience, comprising President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, other Union Ministers, senior officials and the general public, Defence Ministry said in a release. ----------------------- Thank You for watching!
