Digitization Workflow This VHS transfer was digitized using the following setup: • Playback deck: Magnavox VCR MSC455 • Connection: Composite video (yellow RCA) + stereo audio (red/white RCA) • Capture device: Generic USB capture card • Ingest software: OBS Studio • Deinterlacing: performed in OBS • Pixel aspect ratio correction: performed in OBS Post-processing: • Denoising only, using my custom capture script • No color grading, sharpening, or upscaling applied This workflow preserves the tape’s original characteristics while applying only minimal, non-invasive processing.
