Loch Chon - Scotland

Loch Chon is a beautiful location and one of two freshwater Lochs in Scotland bearing this name. A favourite location of canoeists there is also a campsite run by the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Previously called 'Loch of the Dogs' there are three islands on the loch. Heron Island being the middle sized island. Fabled to have a resident kelpie and the largest population of faeries in the world. Perfect for picnics, cycling, walking and open water swimming. A fabulous place to visit!
