Mozart enthusiasts can follow in the genius's footsteps in Vienna, from Schönbrunn Palace and St. Stephen's Cathedral to the Haus Mozart in Vienna, a veritable musical world with Amadeus's apartment preserved in its original form, and the Mythos Mozart Museum, a multimedia center located in the place where Mozart wrote The Magic Flute and Requiem and died in 1791 (now the ground floor of the Steffl department store). A marble monument to Mozart, completed in 1896, is also an impressive sight. It stands today in the Burggarten park and is framed by a floral ensemble in the shape of a treble clef.
