After years of seeing it in movies and pictures, finally seeing the majestic Statue of Liberty in person was an incredible experience! Itâs one of those iconic moments that truly solidifies your visit to New York. The scale of the statue, the beautiful verdigris color against the bright blue sky, and the historical weight it carries are breathtaking. Getting this boat view really gives you a sense of its presence on Liberty Island, guarding the harbor entrance. As an expat who loves exploring new cultures and places far from my current life in Belgium, this journey to the US was a significant entry in my open diary. It's a reminder of what budget travel and cultural exploration can deliverâmoments of pure awe. I highly recommend taking a ferry or boat tour just for this perspective.
