Experiment: Black coloured objects absorbs and loose more radiant heat than a white object Black colour object absorbs and lose more radiant heat than a white object. 1) Take two metal containers A and B. 2) Paint container A with black colour and container B with white. 3) Fill both the container with equal amount of water 4) To measure the temperature, fix two thermometers in the container 5) Note the thermometer reading 6) Place the two container in the sun for about 15 to 20 minutes 7) Again note the thermometer readings. 8) You will find that the temperature of water placed in the black container (A) rises more than that of the water in container white (B). 9) This happen because black object absorbs more radiant heat than a white object. 10) Now place both the container A and B in the shade. 11) You will observe that the temperature of water in black colour container cools down faster. 12) Therefore we conclude that black coloured object absorbs and radiate heat more as compared to white object in the same time period.
