Guitar lick 3

Guitar lick 3

Please read this entire description for details about this guitar lick. This lead guitar lick plays uses cascading hammer on and pull offs and also includes right hand tapping. Here are details about this guitar lick. Meter 4/4 Tempo 180 Key E Standard tuning This sixteenth note lead guitar lick is not based on any specific scale. Note that the right hand index finger is used to tap all the notes on the 12th fret throughout the entire lick. Start the lick by tapping the 12th fret (right hand index) on the first string. Next pull off the note on the you just tapped on the 12th note to the 7th fret (index finger). Now pull off the note the 7th fret (ring finger) to the 5th fret (first finger). Finally pull off the note on the fifth fret to the open string. The result is a sus4 triad using tones 1-4-5 so on the E string this would be E-A-B. The 4th replaces the 3rd which defines the major or minor quality. This creates a suspended" sound. Repeat this for each of the six strings using the exact same fretting hand fingering. Notice the pattern I use which descends four strings, goes up one string then descends for the remaining four strings. This pattern works well for scale patterns that are played on all six strings. In measures 3 and 4 I simply reversed the direction moving up to where the guitar lick originally started. I hope you enjoyed this guitar lick.
