SHOULD You Escrow Taxes and Insurance on Your Mortgage? | Why I Do Not Recommend Escrow Accounts

Escrow accounts are ways to have the mortgage servicer ensure your taxes and insurance are paid on time. They collect a certain amount of money every month on top of your mortgage payment and put that extra into a separate account, an escrow account. That account grows throughout the year with the extra money for taxes and insurance and then the escrow account pays those bills when they come due. Is an escrow account right for you though?
