On Wednesday, Union Minister Anurag Thakur revealed that the government has increased the subsidy for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana recipients, raising it from ₹200 to ₹300 per LPG cylinder. Currently, Ujjwala beneficiaries are charged ₹703 for a 14.2-kg cylinder, compared to the market price of ₹903. Following the Union Cabinet's decision, their cost will now be reduced to ₹603.
