Daryl Hall & John Oates - Out Of Touch (Single Version)

1984 - Hall & Oates released Out Of Touch as the lead single from their 12th album Big Bam Boom in October. By December it reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, topping the charts for two weeks. It was their 6th number one song, and the 13th-biggest single of 1984. John Oates said he came up with the chorus experimenting with a keyboard, and his initial thought was to give the song away to a different group - until other people heard it and said they should keep it. He then collaborated with Daryl Hall to write the verses. The single version is adapted from the album version, subtracting the sound effects from the prior track Dance On Your Knees (and fading early). Audio and visual content from my copy of the 45. Enjoy!
