Fans React to the 2025 Qatar Grand Prix
The 2025 Qatar Grand Prix smashes the record for the longest episode of Fans React to F1 by a long, long way. It's clear to see why. Sprint Qualifying saw another dreadful SQ1 exit for Lewis Hamilton, as well as some spicy impeding between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen. Later on, Yuki Tsunoda and Fernando Alonso had their own exchange over impeding. Tsunoda would go onto outqualify Verstappen for the first time in SQ3, as Verstappen picked up floor damage after running wide early on in the session. Oscar Piastri took sprint pole and converted it into a third sprint win in a row at Qatar, with George Russell in second and Lando Norris in third. In Grand Prix qualifying, it was the same story once again as Lewis Hamilton was eliminated in Q1, along with Yuki Tsunoda off the back of his best ever finish with Red Bull in the sprint race. Oscar Piastri once again took pole position after Lando Norris made a mistake on his final lap, with Max Verstappen qualifying third. Verstappen would take advantage of the clean side of the grid and swoop around the outside of Norris to take 2nd off the start in the race. A collision between Pierre Gasly and Nico Hulkenberg brought out the safety car, prompting every single car on track to pit except the McLarens. Their huge strategy blunder quickly became apparent, as Max Verstappen went on to take an easy win after effectively getting one of his two mandatory pit stops for free versus the McLarens. A fuming Piastri came home in 2nd, and Carlos Sainz took his second podium with Williams in 3rd.
