Thousands of Kenyans gathered on October 16 to receive former PM Raila Odinga’s body after his death in India. His body arrived on a chartered plane with a water salute before a public viewing in parliament. Odinga, praised for his fight for democracy, died on October 15 after collapsing during a walk in Kerala. He will receive a state funeral, with final rites on October 19 in his hometown of Bondo.
