This third sermon reflects on the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s final sermon, delivered the night before he was murdered on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis. His closing words still ring with power: “Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord!” He preached without fear. His words gave courage to hundreds gathered that night and continue to echo around the world today. The sermon is deeply rooted in scripture as well. Amos and Jesus will speak a prophetic word to us, and we will also hear from the pastor of Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina.
