The journey continues with Arnaud's assistance. The group find a pirate captain nicknamed Sea Scorpion, who owes a favor to the Wall and she repays it by giving them a ride to La Cuna, the island from Hugo's dreams. There, it is revealed that Arnaud made a deal with Hugo. In exchange for his help, Hugo would use the rats he controls to assassinate the count. Hugo, however, hesitates and eventually decides not to do that. Arnaud is captured and Hugo finds the bird from his dreams. But there is still much to learn...
