Kielbasa smoked sausage, fully cooked, sliced • 1 medium onion, chopped • 3 cloves garlic, minced • ¾ teaspoon of salt (salt to taste) • ½ teaspoon of black pepper (pepper to taste) • ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika • ½ teaspoon of dried thyme leaves • 2 tablespoons of butter (unsalted) • ¼ cup of chicken broth/stock • 2 tablespoons of olive oil • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat Instructions 1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Add the smoked sausage slices and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. 2. Remove the sausage and set aside. In the same skillet, add the butter, onion and bell peppers. Sauté until the onion and bell peppers are soft and translucent. 3. Add the chopped cabbage and season with the minced garlic, thyme leaves, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for 10-12 minutes, until the cabbage is tender. 4. Return the sausage to the skillet and combine with the cabbage mixture. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, letting the flavors meld together. 5. Serve hot, optionally garnished with red pepper flakes for a little kick. #friedcabbage #smokedsausage #southernfood #easyrecipes #comfortfood #onepanmeal #shorts
