This is not a romantic love story, it's original title warns it: The Most Excellent and Lamentable Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. 2. This story was not invented by Shakespeare, many writters have created plots inspired in these two italian youngsters' faith before the english bard. But no one, of course, can be compared to Shake's. 3. Love kills. 4. Romeo and Juliet both die in the end. 5. Founded in 2007 by the actor and director Alexandre Dill, the visual artist Bruno Salvaterra and the dancer Igor Pretto, the "GRUPOJOGO de ExperimentAção Cênica" has completed, in October 2017, 10 years of uninterrupted activities and a continuous work in performative arts in the city of Porto Alegre. In 2010, the group took part of the project "Usina das Artes", a theatre groups and dance companies collective which, chosen by public notice, used to reside and develop their activities at the "Usina do Gasômetro". This project allowed GRUPOJOGO to firm territory at room 309, occupied until 2017, and was in this room/territory that the group artists started developing a scenic investigation related and guided by the communion among dance, theatre and visual arts, considered inseparable processes of creation and art production. The connection between dance, theatre and visual arts has stimulated and still stimulates a reflection and discussion about contemporary society and it's numerous particularities and relationships. GRUPOJOGO has made, in 12 years of continuous work, nine theatrical performances - such as "Play-Becket" (2009), "Fauno" (2012), "A noite Árabe" (2013), "As Trevas Ridículas" (2017), "Tremor" (2018) and "Deus é um DJ" (2019) - and 69 workshops - in which the "Oficina de Criação e Montagem" stands out for a continuous, in most times, formation of actors and actresses, offering to the audience many performances, such as "A Classe Morta" (2015), "O Inspetor Geral" (2016) and "Die Hamletmaschine" (2017) -, that investigate and discuss different aspects, conflicts, tensions and human concerns through the lens of contemporaneity and aware of different social realities.
