After getting all of Crystals and kicking Cortex's butt, it's now time to get the rest of the Gems, and to do that, you need to collect all of the Relics as well. A clock appears for each level that you've gotten a Crystal from. Grabbing this clock starts the Time Trial, where you have to get to the end of the level in one go. If you beat it fast enough, you get a Relic, one that's colored Sapphire. If you're faster, the Relic becomes Gold. If you're even faster than that, the Relic becomes Platinum. My goal, just like in the original version of this game, is to get only Gold Relics or better in every single level in the whole game, but I will still try to get as many Platinum Relics as I can. This is the reason why you get the Crash Dash/Speed Shoes after beating Cortex. To help you get the Relics easier, but that power only works in levels where Crash and Coco are completely on foot. Even if you die during the Time Trial, you can start over without losing a life. Or you can restart it yourself from the pause menu. ————— As you can see for yourself, getting a Platinum Relic is HARD. Let this first video show you the measures I will have to take and repeat just to get one. I’ll be skipping ahead of my failed tries for other levels, though. ---------- See my Gold Relic Time Trial in the PS1 version, here!: • Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped - Level 1: Toad ...
