Minecraft Story Mode Episode 4: A Block And A Hard Place (No Commentary)

Episode 4 continues the story of Jesse and their friends as they face the powerful Wither Storm that’s been terrorizing the world. This episode serves as the climax of the first major story arc — the fight to stop the Wither Storm once and for all. After the events of Episode 3, Jesse and the group reunite with Gabriel and Petra (or whoever survived, depending on earlier choices). They learn more about the history of the Order of the Stone — revealing that the legendary heroes’ past isn’t as heroic as everyone believed. The team travels to find Ivor, the wizard who originally created the Wither Storm, hoping he knows how to stop it. He tells them about the Formidi-Bomb (F-Bomb), a powerful weapon capable of destroying the monster. To build it, the group must gather rare materials from the End and Farlands. After navigating puzzles and challenges, they succeed in crafting and detonating the Formidi-Bomb, seemingly destroying the Wither Storm. However, things take a tragic turn when it’s revealed that the Wither Storm’s core survives, forcing Jesse to enter the creature to destroy it from within. Inside, Jesse rescues their trapped friends and finally kills the Wither Storm by destroying its command block. Sadly, Reuben, Jesse’s loyal pig companion, helps save the day but is mortally injured in the process — a deeply emotional moment for players. The episode ends with the Wither Storm defeated, the world saved, and Jesse hailed as a true hero, setting up new adventures in Episode 5.
