This green sea turtle was nesting on Singer Island during the early morning hours when staff captured her returning to the ocean. Over 20,000 sea turtle nests are laid every year on Palm Beach County's beaches. Over 2 million hatchlings emerge from these nests and make their way to the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Palm Beach County's coastline makes up 5% of Florida's coastline but hosts over 20% of the entire state's nesting activity.
