To celebrate Mario’s 40th anniversary, Nintendo has remastered Super Mario Galaxy alongside Super Mario Galaxy 2 and released them as a bundle for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 (launched October 2, 2025). I hoped for a more fleshed out remaster or even remake worthy of celebrating Mario's 40th anniversary, but we all know what to expect from (modern) Nintendo. In this video, I showcase the final level and ending of Super Mario Galaxy in cinematic 4K — completed without taking any damage. All gameplay was recorded on a Nintendo Switch 2 and edited by me. Originally released in 2007 for the Wii, it introduced a bold, space-themed take on Mario’s adventures — hopping between planets, exploring gravity mechanics, and harnessing the power of Power Stars to rescue Princess Peach and foil Bowser’s cosmic schemes. In the game, Mario meets Rosalina and pilots the Comet Observatory, traveling through galaxies to reclaim stolen stars from Bowser’s clutches. Each galaxy brings its own gravity puzzles, creative level design, and orchestral soundtrack that elevate the sense of wonder and exploration. #nintendo #mario #switch2
