HANDICAP OVERCOME

(2 Aug 1962) 22 countries were represented at this year's international Paraplegic Games at Stoke Mandeville. It's 10 years since the games were started here, then only on a national basis. Today, the experiment has drawn recruits from every continent. The blunt, unsentimental truth is that if you are paralysed, you have to try to overcome it by doing what's least expected of you.
