National Cancer Awareness Day

Today, on the National Cancer Awareness Day, NCC IIT Roorkee brings this video to make you all aware of a major cause of death worldwide, a silent killer I.e., Cancer, its symptoms, early detection, medication facilities, precautions and cure. National Cancer Awareness Day is marked on 7th of November every year to spread awareness on preventing cancer and how one can detect any symptoms early. Cancer is among the leading causes of death worldwide and according to WHO 1 in every 6 deaths in 2018 occurred due to cancer. In India figures are not positive as well with 1 in 10 Indians are projected to develop cancer during their lifetime. These figures are scaring but with knowledge of symptoms and early detection many lives can be saved. NCC IIT Roorkee request everyone to be aware and make others aware as well of this silent killer on this National Cancer Awareness Day. Jai Hind!
