The Light Has Come! | Sunday December 7, 2025

“The Light of Life” “In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.” (John 1:4) Webster defines light as, “something that makes vision possible.” We need the Light for life otherwise our vision is distorted, and we wander in darkness. . For those wandering in darkness, God gave us hope through Isaiah. “The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light…The light will shine on them.” (Isaiah 9:2) The question is, what will we do with that light. John says as the light shined in the darkness the darkness did not comprehend it, did not receive it, and did not know it. (John 1:5-11) But there is the hope for John also said, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God…” (John 1:12) So, who is the light we should receive? Jesus said, “…I am the Light of the world.” (John 9:5) We can comprehend, receive and know the light…Jesus Christ…by simply, “…believe in His name.” (John 1:12) Lewisville Bible Church is centered in Christ, founded on the Word of God, the Bible, strengthened through prayer, intentional in sharing the good news of life in Christ, caring about people and the needs of our community; and committed to the spread of the gospel around the world.
