NBA Playoffs! Golden State Warriors Keys to Victory vs Houston Rockets. Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets Playoffs First Round breakdown. Some Warriors keys to victory: -The Warriors must limit their turnovers. They have to take care of the ball. Houston thrive off of getting easy buckets of of turnovers. Amen Thompson, Dillon Brooks, Tari Eason and Cam Whitmore all have size and are dynamic on the defensive end. If the Rockets are able to force turnovers, it’s going to be a rough series. They;re going to have to fight through not getting the call, as well; Dubs fans, we KNOW THIS! Make the easy pass, hit singles on offense, and take care of the bhall above all things.! -Respect Houston. Just because they don’t have a superstar doesn’t mean they’re not a contender. Example: in games past, the Dubs have let Dylan Brooks shoot the open three pointer. He’s their best shooter, and you HAVE to respect that! Doesn’t matter what you think, he’s their best three point shooter. Respect these guys! -Defend without fouling through the rebound. Brooks, Jabari Smith, Steven Adams, Tari Eason, THompson… ALL of these guys can wreak havoc of the boards. They’re long and athletic, if the Dubs lapse in concentration, they’re going to pay for it. -Challenge Houston’s shot-blockers. The Rockets don’t have a rim-protecting big, I think that they can be exploited by the likes of Moody, Jimmy, GP2, and Kuminga. -The Warriors MUST take the right shots on offense. Post has a wide open three? Fire away. Draymond has an open three? See if there’s something better; that wide-open three pointer will always be there for Draymond. -The Warriors need to move on offense; space is their friend. Houston’s goal is partly going to comprise of taking away the Warriors space to operate on ofense. They have successfully employed this on the Warriors in wins this season. The Warriors can combat this through direct takes to the rim. Houston doesn’t have a whole lot of shot-blocking. The Warriors must be able to hit singles when Houston overplays on the perimeter. -Limit the guard penetration of Green, vanvleet and thompson. It’s going to be tough, but the dribble kick-out game of Houston is deadly. DOn’t let these guys get past you and then kick it to Brooks and SMith for open threes. -If the Warriors try to fight fire with fire, they may have a difficult time. They key for the Dubs will be to be decisive in what they do. They have to buy-in to the defense and movement on offense requisite of a champion. #dubnation #gsw #stephencurry #nbaplayoffs #goldenstatewarriors #warriors #basketball #houstonrockets #nba #nbaplayoffs @warriors @NBA
