Why Is Jax's Room GIRLY? Digital Circus Episode 7 Theory

Did you notice this in the amazing digital circus? During episode 7 we finally got an answer to what’s inside jax’s room. However it looks quite unusual, why is it pink? Let me explain. So in the episode we get a look at jax’s room. There’s photographs he’s taken of his abstracted friends on the wall. In the corner we see two 57 blocks, and a table and chairs. The colours correspond to ribbit and kaufmo, meaning they’d have tea parties there. There’s keys everywhere with rainbows on the walls, the entire place is stereotypically girly. One of my favourite details is jax’s desk, It contains the icons of the other cast members including the sun and the moon. So what does this all mean? Firstly jax’s desk is likely updated periodically when humans leave or enter the circus. He clearly didn’t make it himself. When he looks at his desk he’s reminded of the cast members who he doesn’t get on with. The big question is why is it so girly. The answer to this lies in who jax is based off, raggedy andy. Raggedy andy is famous for his dislike of being seen as a girls toy. He doesn’t like to be pushed around or controlled by girls. He dislikes female activities. He’s rebellious and wants to be a strong tough boy. We’ve seen jax mirror this in previous episodes. Jax constantly picks on the girls, and when he was forced to wear the maid outfit he was extremely upset, he felt emasculated. So combined together jax struggles with his masculinity. Maybe in the past he was okay, he’d have tea parties with his friends in his room. It didn’t bother him. Now they’ve all abstracted, he has no one to open up to about his issues. He hides his room from the others because he’s embarrassed by it. Honestly i think this just further cements why i love jax as a character, he’s extremely well written. What do you think?
