GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition - Mission #58 - The Da Nang Thang Carl bumps into Woozie as he's leaving his apartment when the situation takes a sudden turn. Little Lion, a trusted Triad member, calls Woozie with urgent news: the Da Nang Boys have just arrived on a freighter in San Fierro Bay, and they’ve brought along Vietnamese refugees, locking them up in a container on the ship. It’s a desperate situation, and Woozie knows there’s no time to lose. Carl springs into action. He races to the roof of Woozie’s apartment building, where Little Lion is waiting with a Maverick helicopter. The plan is straightforward—Carl will fly in and storm the ship to free the prisoners. He hops into the helicopter, and the two make their way toward the freighter, hovering above the Bay. As the freighter comes into view, Carl, armed with a minigun, wastes no time opening fire. The Da Nang Boys, caught off guard, are gunned down one by one, but they are relentless. Suddenly, one of the gang members manages to fire a rocket launcher, hitting the Maverick and sending it spiraling out of control. The explosion rocks the helicopter, and though Carl survives, Little Lion tragically doesn’t make it. Carl crashes onto the ship, injured and stripped of his weapons, left with only a knife and a portion of his health. Determined to finish what he started, Carl presses on, boarding the freighter despite the heavy odds. With his knife, he stealthily eliminates several Da Nang guards, using his surroundings to his advantage. As he works his way through the ship, Carl discovers the container holding the Vietnamese refugees. After dealing with more guards, he finally frees the terrified prisoners. Grateful and relieved, one of the refugees informs Carl that The Snakehead, the feared leader of the Da Nang Boys, is still aboard the ship. Determined to finish the mission and avenge Little Lion, Carl fights his way toward the Snakehead’s location, cutting through waves of Da Nang guards who try to stop him. After a grueling battle, Carl finally confronts The Snakehead, a skilled and ruthless fighter. The two face off in a tense duel, but Carl’s skill and determination prevail. With the Snakehead dead, Carl ensures the Da Nang Boys’ reign over the ship is finished. Having freed the refugees and taken down their captors, Carl meets up with the grateful survivors. They lower a few Dinghies into the water, eager to escape. The refugees thank Carl for risking his life to save them, leaving him alone on one of the boats as they depart. As the freighter fades into the distance, Carl drifts away on the Dinghy, bruised but victorious, knowing that his efforts have dealt a crippling blow to the Da Nang Boys.
