Three years ago, he was diagnosed with cancer and immediately decided to distribute all his wealth. 2 days ago, the humanitarian and philanthropist passed away. So who exactly is Ali Banat? As you saw Ali had a comfortable living, running a successful business. But as soon as he got sick, he realized none of it meant anything to him. He sold all his worldly possessions to start up a charity, MATW Project to help people in need in Africa Within months the charity housed 200 widows, 600 orphans, and schooled over 600 children, it funded multiple projects including construction of hundreds of homes, shops, schools, mosques, medical centers, and businesses to support the local community... He changed the lives of thousands of people across a number of countries including Togo, Ghana, and Burkina Faso. ‘When you find out you’re sick or you don’t have much time to live, this is the last thing you want to chase. And that’s how we should live our lives every day,’ He was told he had seven months to live but instead lived for another three years, a time which he dedicated to doing good. Now many people around the world backing the charity as they remember his life and all the important work he did.
