I'm streaming EVERY Wednesday from 5 PM - 7:30 PM Pacific Time, plus sometimes on weekend mornings (Saturday or Sunday from 10 AM - 12 PM Pacific Time), but that bonus stream can vary week-to-week. I'll announce confirmed stream times for the upcoming week every few days on my Discord, X, and here on YouTube as a Community Post, so be sure to follow me in all of those spots, or you can ask me directly on stream. Q: How is this being randomized? In lieu of a normal Pokémon game where you know the 3-5 Pokémon that appear on each route, here, ALL of our encounters, from the starter to Victory Road, will be randomly generated from the pool of any non-legendary Pokémon up through Generation 4. This should make teambuilding fun and give us an opportunity to prepare for fights with hopefully completely different options than the base game! All trainer foes, gym leaders and other scripted fights will remain the same as the base games... so there's no getting around Cynthia's Garchomp! Q: What Nuzlocke rulesets are you playing with? A Nuzlocke challenge is a self-imposed, more difficult way to play Pokémon games. We are playing the base Nuzlocke rules as defined by Nuzlocke University (https://nuzlockeuniversity.ca/nuzlock.... See below: A Nuzlocke is a Pokémon challenge run, intended to create a unique and more challenging gameplay experience through a set of self-imposed rules. While there are many optional rules and restrictions you could include, a Nuzlocke challenge consists of three basic rules: 1) Any Pokémon that faints must be released or boxed permanently. It is considered “dead” for the rest of the challenge. 2) Only the first wild Pokémon encountered in a route or area can be caught. If the player fails to catch it (ie. it flees or faints), their opportunity to catch a Pokémon in that area is lost. 3) The player must nickname all Pokémon they catch or obtain. (This is not technically necessary for the challenge run, but is universally accepted as part of a Nuzlocke.) We are playing with some additional rulesets to make things more difficult or interesting: Special Rule 1) At no point outside of battle can my Pokemon's level be higher than the next Gym Leader's highest level Pokemon, or higher than level 59 before challenging the Elite Four. If ever they are, they must be benched immediately and cannot be added back to the party until after the fight. (This means the level steps are 14, 22, 26, 32, 37, 41, 44, 50, and 59.) Duplicate clause: If the first Pokémon in an area is one the player already owns, they may continue battling until they encounter one they do not own, and then attempt to catch it. This rule prevents a player from having multiples of the same Pokémon. Given that this is a randomizer and we have over 400 Pokémon at our disposal, I don’t see this being a huge issue. Q: What is this music? The awesome music you hear during the pre-stream, break, and end-of-stream segments is Sinnohcoustic, an acoustic arrangement album by Snivys (   • Sinnohcoustic // Snivys  . Go support the original artist! The music during the Nickname Wheel cutaway segments is an arrangement of Jubilife City, also by the same artist (https://pie.yt/?v=https://youtu.be/aQ....
