With Fort Kaminodake secured by Yuna's hunter allies, Jin now has a path into Toyotama and is able to reunite with Yuna, Kenji, Ishikawa-sensei, Lady Masako and Norio. All of whom still consider Jin to be a trustworthy ally doing what is needed, even if it means changing from the old samurai ways. Now Norio has returned to Kamiagata and is leading a group of monks in order to retake him home, Cedar Temple. The mongols have been capturing monks in the nearby villages at Sago. Jin is not surprised to see the monks bending will to the Mongols given Khotun Khan's methods. But what he is surprised about is that Norio is the one who told the monks to cooperate so that they don't suspect their plans to retake the temple. The monks tell Jin, all of the tactics Norio has been lately have been inspired by the Legend of "The Ghost". This leaves mixed feelings in Jin for he feels his methods while necessary may not be a good thing for his friends and people to involve themselves in. Nevertheless, Norio and the remaining warrior monks alongside Jin plan and execute their attack on Cedar Temple. With the temple now retaken, Jin and Norio discover Enjo The Guardian, Norio's older brother is alive. But in a terrible state. Norio is devastated. He immediately forgives his brother who tells him he gave himself up so that Norio would be spared and tells Norio he does not wish to continue living in his current state.
