Mass Effect 3 — Episode 12: Tali! | Rannoch, the Geth/Quarian War, and a Reaper Showdown Hello everybody—my name is Happy, and welcome back to my gaming channel. Today we’re continuing Mass Effect 3, and we’re jumping right back into the Geth vs. Quarian crisis with the Battle of Rannoch. Two priorities going in: Rescue Admiral Koris (because we need him alive if we want any shot at ending this war) Shut down the Geth server to protect the Quarian liveships What happens in this episode AA guns + jamming towers + mines everywhere We start on foot disabling Geth anti-air while I try not to step on every mine like it’s loot. Rescuing Admiral Koris (and losing good people) Koris finally gets extracted, but not before we run into Dorne—and that message back to the fleet hits hard. The Geth server mission gets weird We jack into the “consensus” and start tearing out Reaper infection, while the game drops some heavy lore: early Geth/Quarian history martial law, dissent, and the uglier side of the exile the truth about why the Geth stopped pursuing the Quarians long ago Geth primes sign on By the time we’re out, we’ve effectively gained a Geth Prime platoon and flipped a chunk of the fight. “Destroy the base” turns into a full Reaper boss fight Surprise: it’s not just a base—it’s a live Reaper. We end up painting targets under pressure and coordinating fire until the Quarians actually bring one down. The big choice: peace or annihilation This is the moment. The fleet is ready to finish the Geth… and I refuse to let that happen. I choose to upload the code and force the ceasefire Legion makes the final call and sacrifices itself to give the Geth true independence The war ends. The Geth and Quarians both commit support for Earth and the Crucible. Highlights and running commentary energy Tali finally standing on Rannoch and talking about home hits like a truck. I spend an embarrassing amount of time asking “why is my gun missing?” I continue my tradition of hating the warmonger decisions on the Quarian side (yes, I’m looking at you, admirals). Legion: still one of my favorite characters—and he always shows up late in these games. Next time We’re backing off priority missions a bit and chewing through side quests so we’re not drowning in journal clutter (and because the game keeps handing me conversations and “URGENT” updates every ten seconds). Thanks for watching—see you next time. Bye-bye!
