Buzludzha monument in Bulgaria

The Buzludzha monument is officially opened on 23 August 1981. The Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communist Party takes decision for construction of House-monument of the Party on 11 March 1971. The construction begins in 1974 and is financed with donations to the amount of BGN 14 186 000. After the political changes in Bulgaria in November 1989 and the end of communism, the monument begins to get destroyed. The building starts to get damaged, the windows get broken, the mosaics and other elements from the construction get destroyed. Join us for a one day trip in the near past.
