Cars Silver Racers King Chick Hicks & McQueen 2020 Mattel

Hey guys! Today on COOLection TV, we'll be looking at 3 brand new Disney Pixar Cars diecasts. They are Silver Racers Strip Weathers aka the King, Chick Hicks, & Lightning McQueen. These cars were released by Mattel in 2020, as apart of the new Disney Cars Silver Racers collection. The 2020 Disney Cars silver collection will also include Silver Jackson Storm, Silver Miguel Camino, Silver Tim Treadless (Nitroade #28), Silver Jeff Gorvette, Silver Cruz Ramirez, and Silver Raoul CaRoule. All of these Disney Cars silver racers don't appear in any of the movies or shorts, but are just collectible toys. The three cars in this review are all diecasts, made by Mattel, with no paper stickers. So far, these are the only Cars 1 Silver Racers that exist. In the movie, the King, Strip Weathers is voiced by former NASCAR racer, Richard Petty. His model is a 1970 Plymouth Superbird with the #43's, which Richard Petty actually drove in real life. The King is the aging veteran of the Piston Cup who is about to retire, just before a tie-breaker race ensures he still has one last race. He races for the coveted Team Dinoco, owned by Tex Dinoco. The Silver the King diecast is very similar to the regular version, but now has blue wheels to contrast the silver paint. Chick Hicks is voiced by Michael Keaton in Cars and races for the fictional sponsor, Hostile Takeover Bank (htb) and is #86. He wants the Dinoco sponsorship so badly and will do anything it takes to get it, especially if that involves causing mayhem at the Motor Speedway of the South and the Los Angeles International Speedway. Like Silver King, Silver Chick Hicks is all silver, but unlike the King, Chick has sponsor stickers completely covering his paint, which makes him look very unique. Lightning McQueen is voiced by Owen Wilson in Cars and sports the typical Rusteze 95 design. In Cars, Lightning McQueen also is hoping to become the new Dinoco racer, but a twist of fate sends him to Radiator Springs where he completely transforms, both in appearance and in personality. This silver version of Lightning McQueen was released back in 2013 for Kmart day (K-Day) 10. Similar silver racer McQueens include World Grand Prix Lightning McQueen with Racing Wheels and Hudson Hornet Piston Cup Lightning McQueen, which was only released internationally. The original version of Silver Rusteze Lightning McQueen had a slightly different expression and didn't have a painted mouth. All three of the cars in this review are made in Thailand, while the older variant of this McQueen was made in China.
